The Bar Prep role is responsible for preparing syrups, batches, and juices for the bar, and fully setting up the station beginning to end with little to no support from other line employees. They assist in the preparation of consistently excellent beverages as well as maintaining cleanliness and supply pars for all beverage, ice, garnish, and other service needs; provide impeccable hospitality to each of our guests.
Duties and Responsibilities

Have a focus on always continuing your education and in all facets of our business.
Catch up on all internal communication via Slack before your shift.
Have a complete knowledge of the food and beverage items and preparations.
Follow daily prep list as assigned by General Manager, Bar Manager, or Head Bartender.
Wash, peel, and chop produce for garnishes.
Label ingredients and food items, stocks bar area in an organized manner to adhere to Department of Health guidelines
Sanitize work areas and equipment, washes glassware, and takes out trash
Stocks all wares and equipment needed for service.
Work with Head Bartender to continuously improve standard operating procedures.
Maintain warmth and hospitality in all correspondence with guests.
Complete opening and closing side work checklists for shift daily.
Update knowledge and skills by participating in staff training opportunities.
Is a team player—supports and assists fellow team members whenever possible.
Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Communicate all necessary guest information with the team to set everyone up for success (allergy alerts, VIPs, special requests, celebrations, etc.).
Always check in with any staff working in your respective space on arrival, see if you can help with anything before beginning your assigned duties.
Ask for help when you need it. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not a sign of weakness.
Always be knolling!
Treat all areas of the restaurant with respect, clean and reset to zero when necessary.
Clean and polish glassware and silverware.
Ensure that mise trays are consistently stocked..
Treat the Bar Lab with the respect it deserves, make sure it is clean and organized throughout the night.
Check in with bartenders regularly.
Attend mandatory quarterly staff meetings.
The employee is responsible for getting a shift covered if they cannot report to a scheduled shift (apart from sick reasons). If they cannot report to a shift and have exhausted all options for coverage, they must contact their supervisor to problem solve no less than 8 hours prior to their scheduled in time.
Always act in a professional manner and represent Gin & Luck graciously whether you are in house, traveling, or at another local food and beverage establishment.
Assist in training new hires by guiding them through training trails, answering their questions, providing workflow advice, and teaching them G&L's expectations, steps of service steps, and standards operating procedures.

Reporting Structure
Bar Prep reports to Bartenders, Head Bartenders, Leads, Executive Sous Chefs, & Beverage Director.
Bar Prep works in tandem with Barbacks and Bartenders.
Compensation and Benefits
$xx/hr plus a point percentage of the full house tip pool, based on hours worked per shift.
