About the role
We are seeking a warm and energetic Barista to join the Savory Hospitality team at one of our onsite business dining cafés. Our business dining cafés are one of our unique service offerings that offer the full Savory team member experience as well as the opportunity to work directly with our onsite client on a daily basis.
Our ideal candidate will anticipate and address the needs of the company and our clientele with a heavy focus on hospitality, service, health and safety standards, and, of course, all things coffee and tea.
This role is a key addition to our growing team. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our onsite Barista:
Craft espresso drinks, coffee, and tea to perfection
Embody the Savory spirit of warm hospitality and high-quality service while maintaining a strong sense of professionalism
Serve as a wealth of knowledge on all things coffee and tea to educate guests and team members as requested
Promptly communicate any machine or tech issues, inventory shortages, or client dissatisfaction to the General Manager
Support the catering attendants as necessary

Your experience should show us the following:
At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume environment crafting drinks using a manual espresso machine; brewing coffee and tea
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to utilize quick thinking and conflict resolution skills to resolve guest issues in accordance with the Savory brand standards
You are a team player with a warm personality and honest values
Job requirements
NY Food Handler’s Certification, or willingness to obtain one within one month of hire
Capability to maintain a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods of time
Willingness to work a flexible schedule daytime Monday – Friday and occasionally including nights, weekends, or holidays
