Job Summary: Provides excellent customer service by mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons. Must know a wide range of drink recipes and be able to mix drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste.
Essential Functions:
Fills drink orders either taken directly from patrons at the bar or through servers.
Responsible for station inventory and cash banks.
Checks the identification of customers to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcohol and tobacco products.
Prepares mixed drinks accurately, serve bottled or draught beer, and pour wine or other beverages.
Stocks and prepares garnishes for drinks; maintains an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies; and keeps the bar area clean for customers.
Collects payment, operates the cash register
Washes glassware and utensils.
Serves food to customers who dine at the bar.
Maintains an inventory of liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies at their station.
Inform supervisor(s) of any inventory shortages.
Serves and interacts with patrons.
Answers phones and processes to-go orders.
Operates juicers and other bar related equipment to mix drinks.
Adhere to work schedule as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Communication skills that demonstrate friendliness and talking ease adequate to directly serve and interact with customers.
TABC certification.
Food Handler certification.
General knowledge of bar drink recipes and enthusiasm for craft.
Quality customer service skills.
Minimum 2 years experience in restaurant front of house staff.
Ability to work closely with other staff, at a consistently fast pace, while performing a variety of time constraint tasks.
Requires good memory to avoid confusing customers’ orders and to recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons.
Basic POS skills to place orders and generate customers’ bills.
Physical Effort:
Stands and walks behind the bar for the duration of the shift.
Lifts and carries up to 25 pounds to stock the bar.
