    Job Summary

    The primary objective of a bartender is to prepare & serve beverages for their guests and for the service well, as well as guide guests through an exceptional counter experience by making suggestions tailored to guests individual needs, taking and sending their orders to the kitchen, delivering items in a timely fashion, and checking back with each guest to ensure that everything is to their liking.

    Responsibilities

    Greeting guests in a timely and friendly manner

    Letting each guest know what today’s specials are

    Preparing drinks for the bar guests as well as the service well

    Working knowledge of cocktails and wine

    Using personable skills and suggestive selling to promote certain items and build your check average while creating a personal experience for guests

    Engaging with guests at the bar to build active relationships with the clientele

    Understanding when a guest needs to be cutoff

    Taking orders using Breadcrumb POS to send orders to the kitchen

    Checking in with guests after each course to ensure everything is to their satisfaction

    Prebussing and marking between courses

    Taking payments, cash handling, opening and closing checks using POS

    Communicating with staff and management about any 86’d items, drink specials, guests of note at the bar

    Handling checks for takeout orders

    Restocking wine and liquor

    Keeping the bar clean and organized pre, during, and post shift

    Qualifications
