    ******Position Overview and Responsibilities _

    At Sentral, we are building a team of people-first focused individuals who thrive on going above and beyond. Ideal candidates will exemplify a can-do attitude, a growth mindset, and an entrepreneurial drive. Successful candidates will be proactive, solution-oriented, and have strong ownership of their work. The Bartender is in charge of managing drink orders at a bar and restaurant or private event to keep guests and residents satisfied during meals +/or social gatherings. Bartenders have extensive knowledge of common drinks which they use to recommend drinks to guests and residents, prepare cocktails, pour beers and properly decant wines. Bartenders also entertain guests and residents who sit at the bar by providing stimulating conversation and excellent customer service while filling drink orders for other guests and residents. Their role is to ensure that guests and residents are of legal drinking age and then prepare a requested drink to their specifications.

    T his is an in-person position located on-site of the property.

    What You'll Do:

    • Verify identification and age requirements of guests and residents
    • Mix traditional and creative cocktails
    • Prepare alcoholic + non-alcoholic beverages and coffee drinks for bar and restaurant patrons
    • Memorize recipes to prepare cocktails
    • Process payment from guests and residents
    • Understand all spirits, mixers, homemade ingredients, wines and beers
    • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
    • Display a sense of urgency to nurture a consistent and excellent guest experience
    • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
    • Make suggestions based on guest and resident tastes and preferences
    • Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits
    • Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
    • Build a rapport with regular guests and residents to create a positive atmosphere
    • Greet guests and residents and organize order queue
    • Explain our unique service model to guests and residents
    • Guide guests through the food and beverage menus
    • Understand preparation of menu items, allergen information, cocktails and wines
    • Take food and beverage orders, assign guests to tables/bar seats, and direct them to a teammate to be seated
    • Maintain communication with teammates to best manage seating availability
    • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately
    • Keep dining room clean, organized, and properly set throughout the shift
    • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
    • Assist with special events and fill in for absent staff as needed
    • Use conflict resolution to promptly address customer service issues and refer guests and residents to management when necessary
    • Greet, welcome, and connect with guests
    • Maintain service quality standards by delivering premium guest service and treating each guest as a VIP
    • Anticipate guest needs and provide tailored experiences
    • Handle all guest exchanges in an efficient, professional, and competent manner
    • Utilize all equipment safely and correctly
    • Perform other related duties and assignments as needed and assigned

    _Skills and Experience _

    • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
    • Prior knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving classic cocktails
    • Computer literacy + general math skills
    • Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
    • Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
    • Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness
    • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
    • Ability to evaluate guest and resident satisfaction and responsiveness
    • Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
    • Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments
    • Ability to multitask and adapt quickly
    • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
    • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
