Must be available nights and weekends. We are looking for an experienced bartender/server. This position is required to mix cocktails as well as wait on tables. This includes taking orders, running food and drinks, as well as bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness at the bar and throughout the dining area. The ideal candidate has prior bartending experience and will be comfortable engaging with customers, making food and beverage recommendations, promoting specials, and ensuring a fun and entertaining environment in the pub. Knowledge of craft beer is definitely a plus. If you can't smile and have fun at work, do not apply. ▪ Bartenders are the life of the pub, controlling the rate of orders, setting a comfortable tone, displaying our company culture, and educating patrons on our world-class beer and food. They need to be personal and fun, but responsible and ensure compliance with local alcohol laws. ▪ Responsible for preparing alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and pub patrons. ▪ Interacts with guests, takes orders, and serves snacks and drinks. ▪ Assesses guests' needs and preferences and makes recommendations. ▪ Mixes ingredients to prepare cocktails. ▪ Plans and presents bar menu. ▪ Cashes guests out in an expedient fashion and ensures guest satisfaction at all times. ▪ Continually assesses the needs of guests who are new to our concept and follows standard greetings such as, “Welcome to Voodoo; have you ever been to any of our Voodoo locations? Let us know if you would like to try a sample of anything.” ▪ Knowledge of our non-traditional seating arrangements, food ordering/ pick-up location is key to a successful Voodoo Brewery business as well as an explanation of our company such as, “We brew everything for consistency and to continue to provide the world’s best craft beer.” ▪ Delivers quality guest service and monitors the level of service throughout the pub. ▪ Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance. ▪ Responsible for checking your personal Facebook page for updates from management and corporate on new beers and upcoming events. ▪ All bartenders must be of proper age and possess TABC certification to serve alcohol. It is STRONGLY encouraged that bartenders have cicerone certification, home brewing experience, or general experience in the craft beer industry. ▪ TABC and Food Handlers Certification Required
▪ Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently team-lift 160 lb. kegs.
