Job Summary: The Security Officer reports to the Brother Benno Foundation Security Supervisor. The Security Officer has open or closing responsibility. He/She provides information for Brother Benno resources to Foundation guests. Also provides education and instruction on Brother Benno rules of conduct and policy and enforces as required. When necessary, provides crowd control and maintains vehicle access point security. He/She is responsible for monitoring main campus camera security. Interfaces with law enforcement as required. This position is an hourly position and will sometimes require executive of their duties outside normal work hours.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures a safe and secure environment for Brother Benno guests

Is the Foundation liaison with First Responders

Provides customer service

Maintain master key log

Conducts daily patrols and maintains their records

Updates Mission Tracker application

Minimum Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 year's work experience in related field or equivalent.

Ability to effectively and efficiently interface with guests, staff, and volunteers.

Software skill in MS Office including Excel, and Word

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.

Must be able to communicate in English, Spanish fluency is a plus.

BSIS security card is preferred but not required
