    Job Summary

    The Basketball Instructor/Official is a critical role on any court; responsible for enforcing rules while also cultivating a positive culture, acting as an on-court coach, and advocating for the programs. This role has a direct impact on players, coaches, and spectators each and every game day.

    We are currently hiring for our Winter 2025 Season at the following venues:

    Tukwila Community Center (Saturdays): 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/22, 3/1

    Cascade Middle School (Sundays): 1/19, 1/26, 2/1, 2/23, 3/1, 3/8

    Responsibilities

    Study and enforce i9 Sports rules and safety for all players. Stripes and whistle provided by employee.

    Instruct players during practice using age-appropriate practice plans developed by i9 Sports.

    Keep time and score during the game; manage an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.

    Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

    Qualifications

    Excellent communication skills (Email, text, verbal, written). Responsiveness is critical.

    Sports officiating, playing, or coaching experience is a must.

    Enthusiasm, strong work ethic and trustworthiness.

    Situational awareness, attention to detail and critical thinking.

    Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as a team.

    Commit to working weekends for the full duration of the season, 8 weeks.

    Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.

    Must have reliable transportation and be dependable. We do not tolerate callouts.

    Salary range is $17.00 - $26.00, DOE
