Job Opening: Full-Time Batch Maker at Pangea Reptile

Location: Zeeland, MI Pay: $18 per hour Schedule: 1st Shift, M-Th, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (4 – 10 hr shifts)

Job Summary: As a Batch Maker, you will play a key role in producing our Pangea Complete Crested Gecko Diet. This involves preparing and mixing raw materials according to recipes, operating equipment, ensuring the quality of the batches, and maintaining a clean and sterile workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for batch preparation.

Read and interpret recipes and ensure the correct ingredients and formulas are used.

Operate and maintain mixing and processing equipment.

Monitor batch quality and ensure compliance with specifications.

Maintain accurate records of production data.

Clean and sanitize utensils, surfaces, and equipment.

Work closely with Quality Control and Production teams.

Train new Batch Makers as necessary.

Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions and solve problems.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Must be reliable and have superior attendance.

Ability to perform simple math and read/write effectively.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle objects or controls.

Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally.

Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and equipment.

Must be able to work in extreme temperatures and endure distracting/uncomfortable sounds.

Work Environment:

High stress situations may arise; the ability to remain calm and effective is crucial.

May require overtime, including weekends

Additional Requirements:

Some weekends required.

Must be able to deal calmly and effectively with high-stress situations.
