The Purpose of this position is to service The City of Virginia Beach’s tourist/resort area and keep the beaches and streets clean and maintain the resort area’s reputation of being clean and beautiful. Virginia Beach Public Works – Beach Operations 1401 Parks Ave., Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Schedule:

Monday – Sunday 3:00PM – 11:00PM or 11:00PM - 7:00AM (Varied schedule with mandatory weekends, overtime will be available)

Pay Rate:

$16.33/hour

Job Duties

• Sweep and pick up debris along boardwalk, in parks, and along Atlantic Ave. & Pacific Ave.
• Assist in manually emptying trash receptacles along all the City beaches.
• Assist with other resort area projects as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and walk length of boardwalk.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
