    Full-time or Part-Time In-Person Behavior Analyst (Clinical Supervisor for the Behavior Respite Program)

    ABA SHINE is looking for a passionate and experienced BCBA to join our team! This role offers a unique opportunity to train, coach, and supervise an ABA team in implementing effective interventions while leading our growing Behavior Respite Program designed specifically for RCEB clients in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

    Behavior Respite Program Highlights

    Direct support provided by a Behavior Technician or Registered Technician.

    Behavior Respite Program Supervision – A Refreshing Alternative to Traditional ABA

    Unlike the intensive, skill-focused ABA model that requires constant data collection and frequent progress updates, our Behavior Respite Program prioritizes proactive strategies, client engagement, and family well-being—all while maintaining structured behavioral support. As a BCBA leading this program, your role is designed to be impactful yet balanced, allowing you to focus on effective interventions without the overwhelming administrative workload.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) to develop a tailored proactive support plan.

    Design Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that emphasize antecedent-based interventions rather than reactive, consequence-driven approaches that trigger extension bursts, yes, we are not required to target the behaviors for decrease in this program.

    Supervise and guide a team providing structured behavioral respite care that ensures families receive meaningful relief without disrupting the client’s routine.

    Prioritize engagement and proactive strategies over intensive skill acquisition, creating a supportive, enriched, and stress-free environment for both clients and caregivers.

    Conduct bi-weekly supervision of mid-level supervisors and behavior technicians, ensuring best practices are implemented effectively.

    Analyze data and refine interventions to ensure the team delivers the most evidence-based, practical support.

    Enjoy a lighter documentation workload—progress reports are only required annually, aligned with the client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP), rather than the frequent updates required in intensive ABA models.

    Our Behavior Respite Program is rapidly growing, and we have a huge need for dedicated BCBAs and mid-level supervisors to help us expand services and support more families across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties through RCEB.     Compensation

    $70 - $75 per hour

    102K- 108K depend on experience with only 30 hours billables

    ADP Bi-weekly pay with tracked hours submitted through ReThink, software

    Part-time position (not eligible for benefits such as health insurance, but eligible for PTO, and retirement plans)

    Full-time position is eligible for health care, dental, and vision, PTO, and retirement plan

    Requirements

    Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (Required)

    Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field

    Minimum 2 years of experience in direct ABA services and parent coaching

    Strong knowledge of ABA principles, functional assessments, and behavior support strategies

    Excellent communication, data analysis, and organizational skills

    Ability to commute to Lafayette, CA 94549 or relocate before starting work

    Willingness to travel up to 25%
