We are looking for a passionate and skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.

    Job Summary:
    As a Behavioral Health Technician specializing in substance use disorder (SUD), you will play a vital role in the treatment and recovery process of our clients. You will provide direct care and support, assisting clients in their daily activities while fostering a safe and therapeutic environment. Your compassion and understanding will help clients navigate their treatment journeys, improve their coping skills, and support their overall well-being.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Assist clients in daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments.
    - Monitor and document client progress, behavior, and emotional status, reporting any significant changes to the clinical team.
    - Facilitate and lead therapeutic group sessions focused on coping skills, healthy relationships, and substance use education.
    - Provide emotional support to clients, encouraging open communication and positive engagement in their recovery process.
    - Implement and adhere to individualized treatment plans as directed by licensed clinicians and therapists.
    - Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary to ensure client safety.
    - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for clients and staff.
    - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including therapists, nurses, and case managers, to provide comprehensive care.
    - Assist with medication administration and ensure compliance with treatment protocols, as permitted by state regulations.
    - Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development opportunities.

    Qualifications:

    - High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
    - Previous experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or mental health challenges is strongly preferred.
    - Certification as a Behavioral Health Technician or equivalent, or willingness to pursue certification.
    - Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices, particularly related to SUD treatment and recovery.
    - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and staff.
    - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing situations.
    - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

    - CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain).

    -Other requirements or equivalents/licensures: CNA, MA, EMT
