Now hiring for the position of Behavioral Interventionist to provide in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children with autism. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a behavior analyst, gaining hands-on experience with diverse cases. We work with a diverse clientele, including families navigating autism, feeding disorders, language delays, and various other special needs. To be clear, this is an Associate's or Bachelor's level position (please no Ph.D.'s or Masters level applicants). Work occurs mostly in the child's home with parents present, therefore you will have to drive to different locations in San Diego County. You will need to complete training and build a caseload, so part-time hours build over several weeks. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship Position Pay Range: $20 - $27 per hour Responsibilities: • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a behavior specialist • Engage in interventions in natural settings such as the home, school, and community • Teach the acquisition of language, academic, self-help, play, and social skills • Engage in parent training and parent participation • Actively participate in staff training programs • Assist in creating instructional materials • Accurately record data and session notes • Effectively respond to and manage challenging behaviors • Open communication with your supervisor and the family Qualifications: • High School, GED • Prior experience working with children or those with developmental disabilities • Prior experience in ABA therapy is preferred, though not required • Personality traits such as flexibility, compassion, energy, and enthusiasm • Willingness to provide high-quality programming for children and families • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating prompt follow-up to inquiries from families and staff • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle • Pass a criminal background check Benefit Conditions: • A waiting period may apply • Only full-time employees are eligible Hours per week: • 10-19 • 20-29 • 30-39 Work Location: • Multiple locations Typical end time: • 6 PM Typical start time: • 8 AM • The current need is peak hours 3-6 pm This Job Is: • Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma (must have HS Diploma or GED) • Open to applicants with Associate's or Bachelor's This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction • Autonomous/independent -- enjoys working with little direction • 6-month commitment Compensation: $20 - $27 hourly
