Hiring for the position of behavioral interventionist to implement in-home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services with children with autism. You will have the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of a behavior analyst on unique cases. CTLC works diligently to attend to the needs of our staff as well as the clients we serve. Sessions are mostly scheduled during morning/afternoons and early evenings. We work with a variety of clientele, including families affected by autism, feeding disorders, language delays, and other special needs. To be clear, this is an Associate's or Bachelor's level position (please no Ph.D.s or Masters level applicants). Work occurs mostly in the child's home with parents present, therefore you will have to drive to different locations in San Diego County. You will need to complete training and build a caseload, so part-time hours build over several weeks. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Internship Pay: $20 - $27 per hour Responsibilities: • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a behavior specialist • Engage in interventions in natural settings such as the home, school, and community • Teach the acquisition of language, academic, self-help, play, and social skills • Engage in parent training and parent participation • Actively participate in staff training programs • Assist in creating instructional materials • Accurately record data and session notes • Effectively respond to and manage challenging behaviors Qualifications: • High School, GED • Prior experience working with children or those with developmental disabilities • Prior experience in ABA therapy is preferred, though not required • Personality traits such as flexibility, compassion, energy, and enthusiasm • Willingness to provide high-quality programming for children and families • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating prompt follow-up to inquiries from families and staff • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle • Pass a criminal background check Benefit Conditions: • Waiting period may apply • Only full-time employees eligible COVID-19 Precaution(s): • Remote interview process • Personal protective equipment provided • Temperature screenings • Social distancing guidelines in place • Virtual meetings • Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place Hours per week: • 10-19 • 20-29 • 30-39 Work Location: • Multiple locations Typical end time: • 6PM Typical start time: • 8AM This Job Is: • Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma (must have HS Diploma or GED) • Open to applicants with Associate's or Bachelor's This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction • Autonomous/independent -- enjoys working with little direction Compensation: $20 - $27 hourly
