    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team in supporting individuals with mental illness and substance. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and support to our clients, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

    Responsibilities

    • Implement individualized behavioral treatment plans, including crisis management and behavior management techniques, to promote positive behaviors and social skills.
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Nurse, licensed professional therapist, social workers, and other professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
    • Utilize evidence-based practices, such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to help individuals with general mental illness or serious mental illness disorder and intellectual disabilities.
    • Administer medication, as directed by the client's medical provider, to ensure the client's overall health and well-being.
    • Collect and record data on client progress, including behavioral observations and skill assessments, to inform treatment decisions and measure program effectiveness.
    • Provide social skills training, recreational activities, and other therapeutic interventions to promote social interaction and community integration.
    • Support individuals with PTSD, including crisis management and trauma-informed care.
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with individuals who may have challenging behaviors, and remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
    • Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, including emergency situations or unexpected behavioral challenges.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a field such as special education, social work, or psychology preferred.
    • Experience working with individuals with mental illness and disabilities.
    • Experience with medication administration and crisis management.
    • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and evidence-based practices, such as ABA.
    • Familiarity with data collection and analysis techniques.
    • Ability to work with individuals who have PTSD and other mental health challenges.
    • Understanding of the importance of providing trauma-informed care and support.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and support staff.
    • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
