The benefits reconciliation team is responsible for ensuring that each offering of Health and Welfare benefit programs payroll set-up, billing, collection, and reconciliation functions are in place and routinely and consistently managed and maintained. The Benefits Reconciliation Representative will be responsible for following established reconciliation processes as well as identifying and tracking discrepancies. The number one focus is to ensure that we are collecting the revenue necessary to cover the benefit-related expenses.
** Responsibilities**
- Prepare and organize supporting documentation for reconciliations.
- Research billing vs collecting premium discrepancies.
- Work with other teams to ensure reconciliation processes are followed in connection with the collection of premium adjustments.
- Analyze, track and monitor all audit discrepancies and clearly document and communicate action plan to management.
- Enter all relevant data into payroll billing software for necessary adjustments.
- Accountable for timely completion of reconciliation of all assigned projects as per defined timelines
- Build strong relationships with carriers and vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Analysis of data and utilization of extraction tools to evaluate billing transactions and identify potential irregularities.
- Constantly review work for accuracy and make recommendations for improvements to processes and work output.
- Keep backup documentation in a highly organized fashion.
- Complete all duties timely and double check work product for accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned.
