    Summary/Objective:

    As the Inside Sales Specialist, you are responsible for selling Beta Bionics' products, systems and/or services via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned territory(s). Must close the sale of products, systems and/or services. May generate prospective customers through cold calling and may qualify and follow up with sales leads. Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities. Focuses on acquiring new customers and retaining and growing an existing installed base of customers. Minimal business travel or work outside the office required. Requires application of in-depth technical knowledge of products, systems and services. May be responsible for large, diverse, complex territories and/or products. This role is overlay to the field sales force, typically supporting the initiatives of the field sales organization and carrying an individual or team quota that is shared with the field. Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company, and prepares activity and forecast reports as requested. Has thorough knowledge of company products, systems and services. May direct customers to website or other company resources for information. May establish and maintain relationships with channel partners. Represents the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities.

    • Responds to direct patient inquiries as well as requests from Territory Business Managers, Diabetes Clinical Educators, and Health Care Providers, to discuss Beta Bionics products and services
    • Communicates with potential customers (by phone, email, and/or fax), and explains the operation and use of all products offered by Beta Bionics
    • Efficiently responds to advanced customer inquiries, effectively addressing and resolving patient barriers to therapy adoption through professional, ethical, and persuasive sales skills to lead the customer to action
    • Documents interactions, calls, and lead information into the customer relationship management (CRM) system in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
    • Manages calls to maximize time and effort on the job to achieve daily metrics while adhering to a specified schedule adherence
    • Operates with high standards that are aligned to Certified B-Corp values
    • Consider the beneficiaries of Beta Bionics' Public Benefit Mission Statement with all actions and decisions

    Work Location:

    • San Diego, CA preferred, but candidates can be remote based anywhere in the US

    Required Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED

    • Advanced knowledge of diabetes, unmet needs of diabetes therapies, and benefits of insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring or other disease management devices/diagnostics desirable

    • Experience in a customer service environment of which six (6) months must be placing/receiving inbound/outbound calls

    • Experience achieving sales quotas in a fast-paced environment

    Preferred Experience and Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet with CRM software familiarity
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing market and see change as an opportunity to improve business performance and campaigning for it when necessary

    Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment

    • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners.

    Physical Demands

    • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with co-workers
    • This position requires travel depending upon business needs

    Salary Range

    $60,000 - $70,000
