JOB DESCRIPTION: Korean American Family Services (KFAM) is a non-profit organization specializing in gender-based violence, mental health, and foster/adoption services to Korean immigrant families. KFAM is seeking a full-time Bilingual Community Relations Coordinator to work under supervision of GBV Program Director. This individual is responsible for coordinating community outreach events, department specific outreach support and media relations. Position requires some evening and weekend hours.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:
Work closely with program director to promote GBV programs and services
Work with program director and development team to coordinate community campaigns
Maintain completed outreach records and information
Work with community leaders and members to coordinate events and trainings
Recruiting community members for GBV’s training/events
Keep a good working relationship with community leaders especially in faith community
Represents KFAM at various community meetings, coalitions and events
Other outreach projects and responsibilities may be assigned as needed
Work with program staff to coordinate speakers, venues, written materials for KFAM community events as needed
Assist in creating flyers, posters, and digital materials for community events
Assist in produce media content to support media campaigns
Collect and gather data and surveys from clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be bilingual in Korean
Must be a self-starter, highly driven, and able to work independently
Community and outreach experience, highly preferred
Experience with social media, media relations, preferred
Must have strong organizational skills, be good at multi-tasking, and detail oriented
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills—good at working with people
Must have driver’s license, insurance and be willing to drive, as needed
