Bilingual Family Law Paralegals are the backbone of the trial team. They manage all of the details throughout every phase of the trial – from investigations to pleadings and discovery. Bilingual Family Law Paralegals works very closely with attorneys, assisting in mediation, witness preparation, research and drafting. The paralegal will prepare and handle all exhibits. Once the trial is over, the Bilingual Family Law Paralegal will be responsible for closing out the case file.
Job Requirements 2 years of Family Law experience Paralegal Certification Must be bilingual
Roles & Responsibilities
Research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, inventories, and financial information statements for use by attorney.
Draft routine pleadings, motions, and orders for review and use by attorneys.
Compile and prepare draft discovery responses.
Categorize and interpret data; review and analyze reports, responses and records produced by opposing counsel.
Coordinate requests between multiple parties involved in litigation by way of consistent communication with client, claims and full partnership with attorney through end of case.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare Inventories, financial information statements, child support calculations.
Set Up Service of Process and set up hearings.
Create Trial and Mediation Binders.
Prepare witness and other materials for case preparation.
Organize relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation.
Prepare for mediation.
Prepare and organize exhibits for trial.
Prepare and file all court documents.
Provide status updates
Communicate with clients and opposing counsel
Drafting Pleadings

2 years of prior Family Law Experience Required
