****Position Summary:
The Bilingual Family Therapist will deliver high-quality, culturally competent therapeutic services to adolescents and their families, ensuring bilingual and culturally responsive care. This role involves individual, family, and group therapy focused on strengthening family dynamics, promoting healthy coping mechanisms, and supporting adolescents' mental and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy to adolescents and families, primarily in English and [specified language, e.g., Spanish].
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address emotional, behavioral, and family dynamic challenges.
- Collaborate with clients' families to strengthen communication, enhance coping skills, and support adolescents' mental health goals.
- Facilitate group sessions on relevant topics (e.g., stress management, communication, conflict resolution).
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
- Work closely with AWA's multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing training to stay current on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent in [state].
- Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in family therapy, ideally working with adolescents.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and [specified language, e.g., Spanish]; ability to conduct therapy in both languages.
- Skills: Strong communication, cultural competence, empathy, and crisis intervention skills.
