Job Description
The Bilingual News and Sports Editor/Producer will be part of the Digital Innovation Team, writing, editing, and producing content for the NBC Owned Stations Group and Regional Sports Networks. The editor/producer will create a variety of sports and news content from breaking news to explainers to lifestyle series that will be used across multiple platforms. The editor/producer will also be responsible for executing sponsored sports content across a variety of verticals. In addition, the role will collaborate with local NBC and Telemundo stations on various projects in markets across the country.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven ability to create videos that are shareable and have impact with a social audience. Our ideal candidate is creative, full of ideas and can take a project from pitch to publication or take someone else’s idea and produce it as if the idea was their own. The sports editor/producer will be working on multiple pieces of content simultaneously, from quick-turn daily text on screen videos, to something that may take a week or more.
This sports producer/editor will be part of our Digital Innovation Team, a unique group of content creators tasked with thinking outside the box in its storytelling approaches. Every day is unique, from working on breaking news text on screen videos to contributing to a multiplatform Olympic podcast. The role has flexibility to seek out and pitch stories, series, concepts and see them through from pitch to publication. The position will cover all major sports as well as daily news content.
The right candidate should be able to tell stories in English and Spanish, love sports, stay up to date on current news events, love editing, pitching concepts, enjoy finding innovative ways to tell stories, be a digital video consumer, have excellent people skills and be a team player. We are looking for a self-starter who always wants to create video—and is excited about the opportunity to create multiplatform content in English and Spanish. Our ideal candidate can pitch a concept, shoot, produce, edit, and deliver it and be passionate about every step of the way.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
