  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Billing Clerk must possess relative knowledge of E-billing. This role is responsible for E-billing portal monitoring, reporting, and internal and external communication.

    Essentials Responsibilities:

    • Prepare invoices from legal documents generated by the staff.
    • Determine appropriate billing methods to resolve complex invoicing issues.
    • Maintain billing queues to accurately invoice clients in a timely manner for services rendered.
    • Effectively monitor, track, and resolve billing inquiries across multiple client web portals.
    • Request any additional documentation necessary to support all assigned fees and charges for invoicing.
    • Comply with firm practices and client billing guidelines including fixed fee arrangements, special bill formats, or special billing requests when applicable.
    • Become familiar with the various clients by knowing the various bill formats, special billing arrangements, review process, etc. for all clients.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years of experience in complex invoicing and billing.
    • Experience invoicing and billing within the legal industry.
    • Knowledge of e-billing portals or willing to learn client portal.
    • Must have basic computer proficiency, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to thrive in a high volume, high pressure environment.
    • Superior attention to detail.
    • High School Diploma, College degree preferred.

    Additional Information

    Our office hours are 9-5:30 M-F, all candidates must be able to work these hours.
