SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Billing & Collections Coordinator I implements company best practices ensuring all billing and collections activities meet state and federal compliance requirements. Timely follow-up activities conducted on assigned accounts to reduce outstanding account receivables.

The pay range for this position is $17.07-$22.18 an hour. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location

Essential Functions:

• Ensure order setup accuracy for proper reimbursement.
• Perform daily review of orders for billing.
• Perform follow-up and collections activities on assigned accounts to maintain a reduced Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Recommend receivables for refund and adjustment or write off.
• Submit appeals as required.
• Perform inquiries to payers on outstanding receivables.
• Initiate resolution of billing holds with order processors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

• High School diploma/GED required; Associates degree preferred.
• Minimum one year related experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

• Must have a current valid driver's license consistent with State Motor Vehicle regulations, issued by the state of residence, registration, and proof of insurance.
• Motor vehicle record must be clear of driving offenses for previous three years.
• Experience driving heavy-duty 1-Ton trucks required, with good depth perception for backing up truck.
• Ability to work with people with disabilities or other special needs desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community, ability to communicate clearly.
• Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods required.
• Able to move 20-100 pounds by lifting, team lifting, or with mechanical assistance.
• Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
• Must be able to safely move clothing bales with mechanical help and team lifting (200-225 pounds).
• Tolerance of extreme changes in temperature and humidity necessary.
• Must have the ability to achieve forklift certification (after training).
