DESCRIPTION: We are looking for a Billing Specialist to assist office staff, assist in the tracking of bills and claims and operations of the local business unit.
Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
- Participate in billing.
- Bilingual capacity is a plus.
- Coordinate with all office staff.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Assist with the Management of insurance contracts – new and renewals.
- Assist with Medicare accreditation process and requirements.
- Maintain all licenses and certifications for business.
- Confirm orders to bill.
- Manage and follow all denials for insurance.
- Intake orders
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the methods used in the preparation of charts, graphs and tables, and of the methods of general report writing.
- Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of data, to draw conclusions and to make appropriate recommendations.
- Skilled in problem solving, consensus building, conflict resolution and team building.
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures in written and verbal responses to requests for information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Prior DMEPOS experience a plus
- Microsoft Office experience required.
- Experience with medical billing software plus
KPI’s
- Track and maintain invoices on a daily basis.
- Track the aging for Medicare / Medicaid / Private Insurance / TRICARE.
- At least 30 minutes a day.
- Track the claims denial rate for all claims. Assist the office manager as needed.
