    Company Overview: A locally owned and nationally recognized Printing, Signage, and Marketing Services company in the is looking for an experienced Bindery Operator.

    We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Bindery Operator with a positive attitude and strong team spirit to join our growing team. This role handles a variety of finishing processes including cutting, folding, padding, assembly, packaging and mailing. We provide full training and tools to help you thrive in this fast-paced, hands-on environment.

    As a Bindery Operator, you will be responsible for the daily operations of post-press production, focusing on quality, efficiency, and teamwork. You may also oversee production workers on specific machines as needed.

    Job Summary:

    You will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment as well as assisting in other tasks to do with Printing and mail production.

    Our Bindery Operator works closely with Production manager and our CSR team, providing support with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibility Overview:

    Perform bindery function as noted on work orders/job tickets. This may include: folding, cutting, padding, numbering, spiral or coil binding, collating, scoring, perforating, drilling, stitching or stapling, laminating and wrapping.

    Establish priorities by dates on work orders/job tickets and when necessary, priorities set by management.

    Package jobs, complete job tickets/work orders and delivery receipts as necessary, and place them in designated areas.

    Arrange for delivery or shipping of items as needed using the shipper designated on the work order/job ticket.

    Keep equipment clean, lubricated, and operable.

    Order supplies required using proper procedures.

    Skills we are looking for:

    Minimum of 2 years in the printing industry

    A willingness to be proactive and take action.

    Assist with inventory of supplies and materials

    Excellent communication skills (verbal, written ability to read a ruler).

    Team player that can work with others to deliver a project on time.

    Skills desired, but not required:

    Reject poor quality or incorrect jobs and notify management.

    Work with other staff members to exceed customer satisfaction and service expectations.

    Comply with all OSHA requirements.

    Experience with PrintSmith a plus
