About Us
Biostate.AI aims to build a foundational model of biology that can predict the evolution of health and disease. For each individual, Biostate's neural network will use past multiomic state information to predict future multiomic states, which in turn can be used to classify future disease state.
Role Overview
As a Bioinformatics Associate, you will play a vital role in our research projects by applying your advanced bioinformatics skills to analyze complex biological data. You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to derive valuable insights from genomic and transcriptomic datasets. Your work will contribute to understanding key biological mechanisms, and potential therapeutic targets.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, interpret, and summarize high-throughput genomics, and transcriptomics, data.
Develop and implement computational pipelines and workflows for data analysis and visualization.
Collaborate with scientists and researchers to design experiments, formulate hypotheses, and provide bioinformatics support.
Contribute to the development of novel algorithms and tools for data analysis and interpretation.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and recommend innovative approaches for data analysis.
Effectively communicate findings and results through presentations, reports, and publications.
Qualifications
BS or MS in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
0-3 years’ experience in bioinformatics data analysis, preferably in an academic or research setting.
Proficiency in at least two of the follow programming languages: Python, R, or Matlab.
Familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis and genomics databases.
Experience with bioinformatics tools and software such as Bowtie2, HISAT, START, DESeq2 or similar, is a plus.
Solid understanding of statistical analysis methods.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical information.
