Birchwood Healthcare Partners is seeking a driven, highly energetic Vice President of Capital Raising to join a fast growing, entrepreneurial firm. Birchwood is a Chicago-based healthcare private equity firm with a primary focus on post-acute investments. With deep industry relationships, access to capital, and entrepreneurial structuring capability, Birchwood intends to capitalize on the highly fragmented and dynamic nature of the industry through ongoing acquisitions and development. The Vice President will be an important member of the investor relations team responsible for growing Birchwood’s investor base. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to function equally well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basis. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills are a must. Birchwood prides itself on its seasoned team and flat-structured organization with substantial opportunity for career development in a driven, but fun and collaborative culture. The Vice President will be working directly with senior management and Birchwood current and prospective investor base.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the development of professional investor marketing materials
• Collaborate with Partners to develop and execute a comprehensive investor engagement strategy that includes our current and prospective investors as well as additional outreach to new relationships
• Manage all investor leads and pipeline on the Company’s CRM - 4Degrees
• Oversee and help develop Birchwood’s online presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Birchwood’s website, etc.)
• Identify opportunities to expand investor base through conference attendance and other recommendations from the candidate
• Learn and deeply understand the Birchwood story and value proposition
• An ideal candidate will have established investor relationships that he or she can introduce to Birchwood
• Develop a system to consistently engage all current and prospective investors

QUALIFICATIONS WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Has had a successful track record of raising equity from family offices and high net worth individuals
• Strong network of relationships with existing investors
• Experience working within a fund environment or with placing equity capital
• Ambitious/Self-Starter with a willingness to learn very quickly
• Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Inquisitive and entrepreneurial with a desire to build and professionalize Birchwood’s investor network through better engagement resulting in a larger investor base
• Hungry self-starter comfortable with cold calling and communicating with new relationships
• Comfortable working in an unstructured environment
• Resourceful and thinks “outside of the box”
• MBA preferred
• Position is ideally located in Chicago, IL
