    BISON RAIL SYSTEMS IS SEEKING A FULL TIME FIELD ENGINEER FOR THE NORTH SIDE AUTOMATIC TRAIN CONTROL (NSATC) PROJECT.

    WORK LOCATIONS:

    • Newton, MA
    • Various project worksites throughout greater Boston

    SALARY: Range of $36 per hour to $40 per hour depending on experience

    STATUS: Full Time

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE FIELD ENGINEER:

    1. With guidance from the project Railway Signal Engineer, develop work plans for railway signal locations using wiring diagrams, construction drawings and specifications to identify the tasks to be completed at each location.

    2. The work plan at a minimum shall include:

      • Materials needed for work to be completed at each railway signal location
      • Wiring changes that must be completed at each railway signal location
      • Equipment to be installed or removed at each railway signal location
      • Tests to be completed at each railway signal location
    3. Create checklists of work to be verified as complete for each railway signal location.

    4. Use checklists to witness and validate railway signal work completed by field forces on-site.

    5. Maintain and keep current a journal of daily work activities.

    6. Prepare daily activity report of work progressed and completed at each work location.

    7. Obtain and deliver time-sensitive wiring diagrams, test documents and materials to the job site.

    8. Scan images of test datasheets and wiring diagrams to upload to document management system

    9. Update the document management system (Procore and BOX).

    10. Compile, track, and analyze project information and generate reports.

    11. Keep track of materials on-hand and identify materials needed to keep work moving.

    12. Assist the project manager as needed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Licensed to drive in the United States with a good driving record.
    • Willingness to frequently drive a company vehicle to worksites and sometimes lift materials up to 20lbs.
    • Demonstrable capability using software applications including Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Visio.
    • Ability to manage your own time and be well organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
    • Punctual, reliable and committed to developing work products with attention to detail.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, technology or a satisfactory combination of education and professional work experience.
