Human Resources Intern Black Gold Farms in Grand Forks, ND is recruiting for a Human Resources/Payroll Intern. Through the internship, this person will be exposed to many different areas of the human resource and payroll profession. Responsibilities will include: 1. Assist with recruitment processes, including writing job requisitions and screening applicants. 2. Conduct compliance audits. 3. Verify employees have required payroll and HR related paperwork on file. 4. Assist with new hire orientation and training schedules. 5. Assist employees with benefit and compensation questions. 6. Complete requests for employment verification and separation of employment, including unemployment benefit requests. 7. Follow up with candidates on the status of their employment application. 8. Register and coordinate participation in career fairs, attend if available. 9. Assist with the writing of the monthly company newsletter. 10. Attend Company provided trainings and assist with the organization of these events. 11. Research and provide recommendations on training event attendance for employees. 12. Improve aesthetics of online candidate application system and update employment notices. 13. Focus on a special project of evaluating Black Gold's current employee relations policies to ensure alignment with key customer standards. Make recommendations for areas of focus. Candidates should be pursuing a Human Resources or related degree. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. Black Gold offers a competitive compensation package.
