PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Perform all necessary functions for operation of manual tool room equipment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Build eyelet tooling and press parts, using manual equipment, consistently achieving blueprint specifications.

2. Aid in designing and building tooling fixtures.

3. Operate equipment in a safe manner.

4. Assist in:

• Keeping tool room equipment and work area clean and organized.
• Lubricating machines daily.
• Identifying equipment problems.

5. Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                                              

1. High school diploma or equivalent experience.

2. Has good mechanical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

3. Possesses ability to read and interpret blueprints.            

4. Is regarded as creative, a self-starter, and adaptable.

5. Must be able to minimally lift 50 lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A background in the metal working industry with two years experience.

2. Has experience using the following equipment:

• Surface grinders
• Manual mills and lathes
• Cut-off and band saws
