Job Summary
The Field Services Manager will manage and continuously improve the installation and maintenance of Blink's deployed network of electric vehicle charging stations. This position includes driving installation best practices through coordination with Blink's field territory managers, commercial property clients and installation electrical contractors. The Field Service Manager will also support Blink's Maintenance Services by ensuring that maintenance performance objectives are achieved. In this role, the Field Services Manager will track and improve maintenance processes and coordinate closely with Blink internal teams as well as external maintenance partners and commercial property clients. The ideal candidate will have 10 plus years' experience in commercial electrical contracting and product maintenance services. This is a great position for a high energy, experienced individual to get in at an early stage of a new industry with a company who is already a national leader, with both an exciting clean-tech product and marquee commercial customer base.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update EV charging unit installation best practices (including site location and design for commercial properties)
Ensure best practices during installation process from site identification, site survey, site design, permitting, construction and operational start
Maintain and update site survey data communication testing procedures
Support and track performance of installation electrical contractors
Support and track satisfaction of commercial property customers during installation process.
Maintain, update and track performance targets for maintenance program
Ensure maintenance performance targets are met and customer satisfaction is achieved
Maintain and update trouble shooting guidelines for the customer service team, customers and electrical contractors.
Communicate frequently across the Blink sales, account management, driver support and product development teams to share best practices and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
10 plus years of related work experience in commercial electrical product installation and maintenance services
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors to successful project completion
Strong working knowledge of commercial construction permitting and accessibility requirements
Experience successfully managing product maintenance and repair programs
Exceptional ability to communicate and coordinate in internal cross-functional teams and with external installation and maintenance partners.
Self-starter with ability to organize and prioritize service efforts for maximum effectiveness
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to use project management, CRM and spreadsheet software tools
Ability to use documentation and presentation software tools (e.g. Word and PowerPoint)
Ability to travel approximately 10% of time.
Experience working with Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment, a plus.
