Job Description

The Block Finance team is looking for an Unclaimed Property Analyst to help expand Block's Unclaimed Property and Escheatment program. You will be an essential component to helping manage customer funds at Square, working with a variety of core Block business units to enhance our financial success. You will report into an Escheatment lead and be a member of the greater Treasury function.

YOU WILL:

• Be a Block Unclaimed Property expert, who will support the company-wide unclaimed property reporting process
• Research industry best practices to improve current program performance
• Keep a close pulse on the regulatory landscapes to anticipate change needed to better support our evolving business
• Investigate data integrity, generate reports and evaluate current reporting tools
• Monitor and ensure processes are properly documented and prepared
• Assist as a contact for multiple internal and external partners, applying an appropriate internal escalation path for all inquiries
• Surface opportunities to improve tools, workflow and assist with ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications

YOU HAVE:

• 2+ years experience in a finance or accounting-related function
• Familiarity with project management
• The ability to manage multiple assignments, and pivot priorities when necessary
• The ability to collaborate successfully with a variety of stakeholders
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related professional experience
