Position: Tenure Track Associate Professor - Literacy

Duties and Responsibilities
The person selected for this position will:
Qualifications
Requires a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Literacy Education or a related field; evidence of scholarly activity; teaching experience related to addressing the literacy needs of all children, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Preference may be given for at least three years of teaching experience in schools including the teaching of reading; evidence of experience working on diversity initiatives; clinical experience with children who have reading difficulties; evidence that demonstrates operational knowledge and use of effective instructional practices at all levels of teaching; experience with on-line teaching and learning; experience in teaching writing instruction and/or elementary literacy methods; and/or evidence of engagement in professional leadership activities.
