    JOB SUMMARY The BCaBA at Elite Spectrum ABA is entrusted with a great deal of responsibility for the care of their patients. They provide essential behavior-analytic services under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). BCaBAs are trained to perform many of the same tasks as BCBAs, ensuring a high standard of care and expertise. Their responsibilities include conducting assessments to identify behavioral issues, analyzing data to track progress and outcomes, helping create and implement effective interventions, and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to ensure proper execution of behavior plans. By working closely with BCBA, the BCaBA contributes significantly to the overall success of behavior-analytic programs and interventions.

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    Concepts and Principles

    1. Define behavior, response, and response class.

    5. Plan for potential unwanted effects of behavioral procedures.

    Behavior Assessment

    Documentation and Reporting

    1. Able to identify the key elements of a written behavior plan, as well as the typical roles that behavior plays. Prepare objective session notes, which must meet the necessary legal, regulatory, and professional standards. Include an accurate account of all that happened during the session.

    2. Maintaining a consistent dialogue with a supervisor is essential and all inquiries should be made. Elite is open to all questions, and it is vital to comprehend the scientific aspects of our work.

    Personnel Supervision and Management

    1. Recognize the significance and potential challenges of behavior-analytic supervision.
    2. Establish explicit expectations for both supervisors and supervisees.
    3. Choose supervision objectives according to the abilities of the supervisee.
    4. Educate staff on assessment and intervention techniques.
    5. Implement systems for monitoring performance and providing feedback.
    6. Analyze factors influencing staff performance.
    7. Apply methods to enhance staff effectiveness.
    8. Review the outcomes of supervision efforts.

    Qualifications:

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certificates, Licenses and Registrations section.

    Student of education program on a path to working with persons diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    1+ year of experience as a Lead Registered Behavior Technician

    Clinical BCaBA experience

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED

    BACB BCaBA Certification (must be active and in good standing)

    American Heart Association CPR/BLS with a live component or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.

    Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.

    Ability to effectively communicate with patients, providers, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.

    Ability to work independently, capable of handling challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations; demonstrates sound judgment and executes above average clinical skills.

    Exhibits strong interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assures delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, and co-workers.
