Job Summary: The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides support to individual clients (“learners”) and their families by coordinating and providing services in Applied Behavior Analysis, functional analyses and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skills.
Duties & Responsibilities (BCBA): The following duties and job description are not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of all the activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required of the BCBA. Conduct functional behavior assessments of children using the ABLLS, VB-MAPP, PEAK, Vineland, QABF, MAS, FAST and/or other Functional Behavior Assessments as needed. Maintain a caseload of clients: Develop/write comprehensive Individual Treatment Plans for each child assessed: Develop and implement skills acquisition and social skills programs. Develop and implement positive behavior plans and strategies Create recommendations for comprehensive services.Follow BACB ethical guidelines to supervise BehaviorTechnicians and collaborate with other BCBAs / treatment team members to implement the Individual Treatment Plans for each learner.Attend weekly / bi-weekly staff meetings. Ensure that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Maintain client records in a clear, concise, ethical, treatment plan-compatible and timely format. Ensure that clients’ progress notes are entered into the EHR system on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures. Participate in education and training programs for parents, families, and coordinate care with anyone on his team (i.e.,school, other therapies, doctors, etc.) as needed. Collaborate with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment. Attend educational trainings offered by IBH and/or other community agencies that are mandated to promote and maintain compliance with accrediting / governing agencies.
Knowledge and Skills such as but not limited to:
Must be currently certified as a BCBA with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) AND the Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst Board (OLBAB). Individuals who have recently completed their master’s degree and BCBA requirements and who are waiting to take the BACB exam and/or who have taken the exam and are waiting for official licensure will be considered on an individual basis,
Education and Experience
Required Experience: Previous experience as a Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician /Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or previous experience implementing ABA principles with individuals in an educational and/or occupational setting.
Required Education: Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or related field.
Supervisor Relationships: The BCBA will report directly to the ABA Program Director and will maintain relationships as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Hours of Contracting/Schedule: Employees will receive compensation as defined in the offer letter.
Weekly hours will include billable services such as direct client/parent contact, direct supervision, and ABA admin hours.
