Summary:
We are looking to hire an experienced Logistics Specialists to help us keep growing. Our Logistics Specialist will be responsible for the oversight of the life cycle of products, including preparation, shipping and receiving. This Logistics Specialist will administer and maintain inventory and coordinate with our sales and customer service teams to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and confirm scheduled appointments with internal teams, carriers, suppliers, and customers.
- Coordinate with our Chinese parent company’s Logistics Team to ensure products/parts are delivered to our US warehouses in time. Receive and inspect goods and make defect status reports.
- Select and manage logistics service providers to ensure that the proper companies are in place and ready at all times to meet our needs.
- Monitor and follow up on on-time pickup and delivery.
- Interfaces with external parties and provides guidance or instruction to suppliers, customs brokers and logistics service providers to uphold import compliance requirements, Company policies, procedures and best practices while reducing the potential for transportation delays and facilitating on-time clearances and deliveries.
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of products and parts and occasionally travel to domestic warehouses (approximately 5-10 days per quarter, locations: Huston, TX, Los Angeles, CA) to assist in physical inventory counts.
- Maintain documentation and records according to established company paperless protocol
- Provide assistance in handling customer claims as needed.
- Assist in arranging customs clearance in compliance with US Customs regulations
- Ensure prompt delivery to end consumers by supporting the local sales team. Track and trace shipments to warehouses or customers and keep sales engineers/customer service engineers/ clients well informed of any / all changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or above.
- 3-5+ years relevant Freight Forwarding, logistics, transportation, and domestic distribution experience in manufacturing or similar industry.
- Knowledge of handing imports in accordance with Government Regulations.
- Proficient with Excel and MS office applications.
- Ensure a positive, respectful, and professional attitude in everything you do.
- Good Analytical and fast decision-making abilities while still maintaining an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally as required.
- Ability to lift 15 lbs.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Chinese Mandarin preferred.
