    MASTER SOCIAL WORKER

    Overview of Role:

    Reporting directly to the Lead Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the Bonton Farms Social Worker will provide information, guidance, service referral, and coordination of case management services to/for Apprentices in the Bonton Farms Seedtime & Harvest Apprenticeship Program to help guide their journey towards optimal Seven (7) Human Essentials. The Seven (7) Human Essentials are Transportation, Economic Stability, Access to Financial Tools, Community Engagement, Health & Wellness, Education, and Safe and Affordable Housing (T.E.A.C.H.E.S.).

    · Work closely with the Apprenticeship and People Development Program staff to identify and access needed services and community resources to help Apprentices.

    · Attend internal and external community events to promote the Apprenticeship Program

    · Establish and maintain correspondence with prospective Apprentices from the stages of inquiry, interviewing, hiring, and employee onboarding process.

    · Conduct all intake interviews and psychosocial assessments for individuals interested in the Apprenticeship Program.

    · Facilitate and document weekly 1:1 sessions with each Apprentice to explore progress towards accomplishing their individualized personal and program related goal.

    · Track and maintain all Apprenticeship program metrics, outcome reports, and files accurately.

    · Lead in the facilitation of weekly classes for Apprentices from the T.E.A.C.H.E.S. curriculum.

    · Identify Apprentice’s strengths and limitations that impede their stability, and assist them with implementing strategies, services, or community resources that help to reduce and/or eliminate barriers.

    · Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss Apprentices progress and status in the Apprenticeship Program.

    · Provide intervention and crisis management for Apprentices and community members as needed.

    · Be knowledgeable of and able to provide assistance to Apprentices from a Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) approach.

    · Create and maintain consistent verbal and written channels of communication with and between Apprentices and Bonton Farms staff.

    · Other duties as assigned by the Lead LCSW and Chief Wellness Officer.

    Requirements:

    · Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, social sciences, or related field.

    · Has demonstrated employment experience in working with an adult client population.

    · Excellent communication skills, particularly listening, speaking, mediation, and writing skills.

    · Possess the skills to facilitate lucid presentations staff and Apprentices.

    · The capacity to maintain a role to empower Apprentices and to intervene appropriately to meet service goals.

    · Be knowledgeable of community resources in the DFW, and possess the ability to help Apprentices and Bonton community members access and navigate resources.

    · Demonstrate the ability to work well in the absence of procedure.

    · Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to meet a demanding workload.

    · Creative thinker/adaptive personality.

    · A demonstrated commitment to empowering others to solve their own problems.

    · A strong conviction about the capacity for people to grow and change.

    · The ability to establish and set appropriate professional limits and boundaries with Apprentices served to help them gain skills and confidence.

    · Demonstrate initiative in achieving individual, team, and organizational goals and objectives.

    · Fluency in the English language is required. Spanish speaking ability is an added asset, but not required.

    · Experience with computer knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    · Reliable transportation to make visits to Apprentices’ work and home environment when necessary.

    · Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of population served.
