Abacus Solutions Group is searching for an Accountant with payroll experience for their client, based in Baltimore, MD.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, commissions, taxes and other deductions.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
• Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
• Reconciles bank and customer accounts.
• Manages accounts receivable collections.
• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable.
• Assist with Annual Audit.
• Files required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience required.
• Detail oriented
• Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
