    Job description

    Bookkeeper – Full-Time (On-Site in Boca Raton, FL)

    We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) bookkeeper to join our team in Boca Raton, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with QuickBooks Online. Experience with Filevine is a plus but not required.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate financial records by recording day-to-day financial transactions.
    • Process payments for case costs and operating expenses on an accrual basis.
    • Perform general ledger reconciliation and trust fund reconciliation to ensure all accounts are balanced.
    • Complete bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
    • Accurately manage debits and credits to maintain financial records.
    • Process all deposits through Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).
    • Handle payroll processing and payroll tax deposits through EFTPS/ADP.
    • Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns (Forms 941 and RT-6).
    • Prepare annual payroll tax returns (Forms 940, W-2s, and W-3).
    • Work with a CPA firm to ensure tax filings are accurate and timely.
    • Administer 401(k) and Cash Balance retirement plans.
    • Prepare and submit year-end 1099-NEC forms electronically.

    Requirements:

    • Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably with law firm and trust accounting experience.
    • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
    • Knowledge of bank reconciliation processes.
    • Familiarity with payroll procedures and regulations (ADP).
    • Ability to conduct detailed financial analysis.
    • Clean background check.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
    • Must be able to work on-site in Boca Raton, FL (this is not a remote position).

    Compensation & Benefits:

     

    Salary: $80,000-$90,000
