RCS Hospitality Group—an award-winning consulting, training, and recruiting company specializing in golf and country club operations—seeks a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time hybrid remote bookkeeper to join our team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- QuickBooks Management: Leverage your extensive QuickBooks knowledge to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Receivable: Oversee customer billing, ensuring timely invoicing and payment tracking, including managing Chargify, Clover, and QuickBooks integrations for specific services. Must be comfortable with customer interactions via phone and email.
- Monthly Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records.
- Accounts Payable Management: Assist with contractor payments and company operations payables, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Mail & Deposits: Must have reliable transportation for weekly mail pick-up in Bolivia, NC, and making deposits at a local bank.
- Meetings: Occasionally meet with the RCS President in the Southport, NC, area for financial reviews and discussions. Attend bi-monthly company meetings via Zoom.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with foundational knowledge of profit and loss, expense coding, A/R, A/P, and general accounting.
- Extensive QuickBooks experience is required.
- Experience managing multiple payment portals is desired.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and billing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), with strong Excel skills.
- Familiarity with state and federal governmental accounting is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while working independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a problem-solving mentality.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a minimum of 3 years of related field experience is REQUIRED.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset and focus on accuracy.
- Reliable transportation for local errands and meetings.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong communication with the RCS team; must have access to a computer, printer, and webcam.
- Willingness to use company technology tools for remote work success.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Part-time with flexible hours.
- Remote work but must live within a 30 to 45-minute drive of Southport, NC.
- Occasional in-person meetings near Southport, NC.
COMPENSATION
- $25 per hour, depending on experience.
