Wylander, a recruiting company specializing in the disaster restoration industry, is looking for a dependable Bookkeeper for a full-service restoration company located in Elgin, IL

Bookkeeper Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $60,000 plus DOE

The Bookkeeper is responsible for providing leadership and overall coordination related to the company, financial planning, debt management, and budget management functions. Ensure that company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Assist in managing the profitability and cash flow of the business that will assure the continued liquidity and growth of the company and the financial well-being of its stakeholders through the accurate and timely performance of all accounting functions.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Accurately invoice clients and manage accounts payable
• Manage the company’s checking accounts and cash flows
• Reconcile the company’s checking accounts monthly
• Prepare bank deposits
• Collect overdue accounts receivable
• Accurately prepare and file required payroll tax and government reports and forms on time
• Prepare financial reports in an accurate and timely manner
• Direct and coordinate the company’s financial planning and budget management functions
• Manage the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against the budget
• Ensure compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal reporting requirements
• Work with other department managers, executives, and owners to develop and execute the strategic plan
• Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the company
• Provide recommendations for process and procedure improvements

Bookkeeper Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience in accounting
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting functions
• Strong communication skills and ability to make collection calls
• Excellent Quantitative, analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to maintain a service-oriented attitude
