    Job Description

    Department Overview

    MOE5 manufactures the sensing element used in an oxygen sensor. This high volume, highly complex operation provides opportunity for your abilities to shine through problem solving, data analysis, and improvement projects.

    • Paste Manufacturing:​
      • Raw Material Quality, Powder pre-processing, paste mixing, paste testing, inventory management​
      • 40+ Raw materials go into 60+ unique printing pastes​
      • $1M/month Platinum/Palladium/Rhodium consumption​
    • Cleanroom Operations:​
      • Laser Marking, Screen Printing, Punching, Drilling, Lamination, Thru-hole coating​
      • 450+ Unique Process Steps across 20+ Part Types​
      • Critical layers printed to within 0.0005mm thickness tolerance​
    • Greyroom Operations:​
      • Cutting, Sintering, Kiln Unloading, Geometry measurement​
      • Kiln Firing Temp >1350ºC, 40hr total profile time​
      • Fired parts measured to an accuracy of 0.01mm​

    Responsibilities

    • Manufacturing engineering support for clean room and greyroom processes.
    • Implement improvement projects from the design to installation phase.
    • Coordinate modifications or improvement strategies for existing equipment and/or processes
    • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions
    • Manage projects to improve quality and/or cost of manufacturing processes, products, equipment, and components.
    • Provide support to the production team

    Qualifications

    Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship from Bosch

    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in related discipline
    • Minimum preferred overall GPA of at least 3.0
    • Able to complete multiple rotations: Spring 2023, Fall 2023, Summer 2024, or Fall 2023, Summer 2024, Spring 2025
    • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

    Salary: $21.00
    Housing Stipend of $2500 per rotation for Co-ops who attend school more than 50 miles away from Bosch Anderson.
