    Job Description

    The BPS Coordinator role will be to coordinate the implementation of BPS in manufacturing to improve the facilities production goals following the BPS principles and to coordinate AiP BPS planning to meet plant BPS vision and attain BPS Audit target improvement. 

    • Promote and drive the implementation of lean manufacturing principles through coaching/mentoring/facilitating/training of the facility’s employees in lean concepts, principles and tools.
    • Analyze and continuously evaluate and improve process efficiency through observation, investigation and critical problem solving.
    • Identify opportunities for non-value add reductions and then initiate improvements through the reengineering of current state.
    • Identify and implement methods, processes and equipment using lean methodologies.
    • Creation of current state and future state maps to drive improvement.
    • Conduct quarterly current state/future state maps and A3 reviews with defined value stream organizations.
    • Interface with plant personnel to accomplish timing, manpower and production goals.
    • Organize and lead value stream meetings to manage lean manufacturing projects and activities.
    • Marketing and optimization of lean manufacturing tools, principles and projects throughout the organization.
    • Active role as trainer and mentor of lean principles throughout all levels of the value stream organization through hands-on interaction.
    • Internal external benchmarking and good practice sharing to improve maturity of the Albion facility.
    • Lead the preparation for internal audits.
    • Periodically reviews, assessment and action plan development of BPS maturity within the plant
    • BPS elements implementation, such as VSD/VSM, Kanban system, plant layout, standardized work, cycle time, quick changeover, and ergonomics.
    • Instructor for BPS trainings, related topics and moderator in workshops as required
    • Drive and guide I4.0 initiatives

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

    3-5 years’ experience in the implementation of lean tools and concepts in a manufacturing environment.  Bachelor degree (technical preferred).  Extensive knowledge of lean concepts, manufacturing, production standards and efficiency optimization tools.  Demonstrated discipline and consistency regarding adherence to established standards, policies and procedures.  Proven ability to react to issues with a sense of urgency, promptly assessing the issue and developing a feasible action plan and following it through to successful completion.  Strong organizational skills.  Ability to manage and successfully complete multiple tasks.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills (shop floor and upper level management).  Ability to train associates of all levels within the organization.  Strong computer skills (Excel, Visio, Power Point, Word, Project).
