Job Description

We are a rapidly growing investigations company that works hand in hand with law firms and insurance companies. We currently have an opening for a Social Media Intelligence Analyst (Social Media Investigator).

THE OPPORTUNITY

In this role, you will assist us in helping to either verify or disprove the claims that the other side is making in their lawsuit/insurance claim. In other words, you will be using social media to search for the truth, whatever it may be. Also, this position can help you qualify to become a licensed Private Investigator; if you are not one already, and if that is something that you’re interested in pursuing.

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced social media user who is tech savvy, with relevant experience in the legal field. Strong preference will be given to anyone who has experience with social media investigations, open source searching and/or experience with the legal discovery process.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION

·         A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Psychology, Communications, Journalism, etc.  

·         At least 2 years of relevant work experience (i.e., working as an investigator, a paralegal or law clerk, an investigative reporter, law enforcement, etc.) is preferred.

·         In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate’s Degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience and with a current private investigator’s license and/or certifications in Social Media/Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) may be considered.  

·         Applicant must be a regular user on multiple social media platforms.

·         Applicant must be tech savvy/easily adaptable to various software programs.

·         Applicant must be good at working in teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A SOCIAL MEDIA INTELLIGENCE ANALYST (SOCIAL MEDIA INVESTIGATOR)

·         Finding and verifying social media accounts.

·         Reviewing content from social media accounts.

·         Performing Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)/Deep Internet Searching.

·         Quickly analyzing the information located.

·         About 90% of your time will be spent working independently and the rest will be spent collaborating with the other members of the team.

ABOUT THE JOB

This is a 40 hour a week position. While our preference is for employees to be on site at our Riverside location, once the employee is up to speed and has proven abilities, remote work can be considered on either a part time or fulltime basis. There is flexibility with the hours based on your schedule, but you would generally need to be available to work 8 hours per day, between the hours of 6:00am to 6:00pm. There is generally OT available; however, it is not mandatory unless the case load and/or the urgency of the files you are working on calls for it.

Your pay will be based on your level of experience and your skill set. We offer competitive pay, 401K with match, PTO, medical/dental insurance and flexible hours.
