Boston Dynamics is a world leader in mobile robots, tackling some of the toughest robotics challenges. Now we are quickly becoming a recognized leader in automation solutions for industrial applications, logistics and warehouses. 

We are currently looking for an experienced UX/UI Designer to design the user experience and visual design for our logistics robotic applications. We want you to join our multidisciplinary team of robotics experts, software engineers, and industrial designers to help design and produce the next generation of advanced robots. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging and beautiful user experiences for web/mobile with a history of exceptional project work. DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES:

• Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers
• Illustrate concepts through storyboards, process flows, and wireframes
• Create UI mockups and prototypes to communicate how applications appear and function
• Present concepts to customers, internal teams, and key stakeholders
• Work alongside researchers and engineers to capture the voice of the customer, iterate and test usability
• Collaborate with the industrial design lead to develop the visual UI and insure a coherent experience across the digital and physical product
• Create production ready visual design assets

DESIRED SKILLS:

• BFA/BS in a relevant field of design
• 5+ years professional experience as a hybrid UX/UI designer, demonstrated in a portfolio of web/mobile design projects (please provide link)
• Proficiency with wireframe and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, InVision)
• Ability to closely collaborate and communicate concepts and ideas with project teams

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience/interest in developing motion graphics
• Experience developing physical product UI
• Adept with iconography, typography, and color

TRAVEL:

• Intermittent travel (Boston Dynamics is not requiring international travel at this time, per local and state guidelines).
