    Bovine Embryo Lab Technician – Your Job Duties

    You will work on-site in partnership with OPU Specialists in a laboratory setting performing laboratory procedures related to bovine in-vitro fertilization (IVF) – collecting , searching, grading, incubating and shipping bovine oocytes in a lab on beef farm.

    Your specific job duties:

    • Assist OPU Specialists in aspirating ovary follicles including preparing media and tools used.
    • Search, grade and collect oocytes under microscope
    • Prepare media for incubating bovine oocytes
    • Package and ship oocyte incubators
    • Enter and communicate data with accuracy in timely manner
    • Maintain the lab equipment and inventory

    Bovine Embryo Lab Technician \- You Have (Required)

    • Experience working in a lab in production or classroom setting
    • Valid Driver's license to pick up or drop off shipping incubators at FedEx or UPS
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime

    Bovine Embryo Lab Technician – You Might Have (Desired, Not Required)

    • Bachelor’s degree in biological or animal-related field
    • Experience working in an IVF laboratory or in bovine embryology

    Your work schedule is anticipated to be Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

    Your pay will be $20-22 per hour, full time hourly. You are eligible for overtime for hours worked over 40 hours per week. In addition, you will be provided with 3 days of sick time, provided up front.
