Job Descripion
The ideal candidate would be somebody with experience operating earth moving equipment such as excavators, trenchers, and skidloaders. This candidate could also be strong in an associated trade such as carpentry, as the skill of measuring and doing calculations is necessary.
The equipment operator will be responsible for working hand in hand with electricians on jobsites, to engage in the practice of trenching or excavating, and then installing underground raceways or other electrical system materials into the trench or excavation. There will be times where the operator works on large jobsites, and others when they are working with 1 or fewer people, depending on the work they are doing. Depending on the skillset of the applicant, they may also spend time working with electricians in the practice of bending and installing conduit and wire, as well as other electrical construction activities.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
-Maintain a safe work environment, for yourself and those working with you
-Hold a valid Drivers License
-Ongoing willingness to listen and learn from Journeyman Electricians
-Have ownership and a sense of pride in your work
-Operate power tools such as sawzalls, drills, chop saws, etc.
-Operate excavating equipment such as trenchers, excavators, skidloaders, aerial lifts, etc.
-Glue together and install PVC conduit or other forms of piping into the earth
-Pull wire and cable through raceways, either manually or with tugging equipment
-Lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
-Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolds
-Work indoors, and outdoors in varying weather conditions
-Ability to work extended hours as needed
-Travel to jobsites in the Nebraska area as needed
-Effectively and professionally communicate with the Journeyman Electrician, customer employees, and other company employees
