The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the project and must facilitate their execution through other departments and / or sub-contractors. This role serves as the primary representative of the shipyard to the customer, leading and managing the delivery of yacht repair and re-fit services through a team representing multiple trade and technical areas.
The project manager executes the project management plan in order to achieve the project objectives which include project completion and safety, while meeting agreed upon customer expectations, scheduling and budgetary parameters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead in the execution of the projects from kick off to project closure. • Responsible to lead the execution of all aspects of the project management plans in achieving the project schedule, budget, quality standards and the stakeholder expectations. • Project Manager must have a thorough understanding of the entire scope of work on the project (jobs and tasks) and ensure that each task is executed according to the project management plan. • Ensure compliance with all documentation required by the project management plans including AWA register, stakeholder register, communication plan, risk register and lessons learned. • Daily monitoring and management of the project schedules with emphasis on the critical path. • Ensure timely procurement of all outside materials purchases and sub-contractors. • On-going risk assessment and contingency planning. • Develop and manage AWAs to keep projects on schedule and budget. • Conduct regularly scheduled production meetings for each project (in-house and customer). • Assess quality of work throughout the projects to ensure it meets project quality standards. • Collaborate with the Trade Managers in determining assignments of specific trade labor required, including sub-contractors, to meet customer expectations for project delivery. • Ensure that all vessels and the area surrounding the vessels meet Rybovich organizational and cleanliness standards. • Ensure final compliance inspection and acceptance in accordance with the project quality plans. • Responsible for conducting a weekly invoice review meeting with each customer and ensuring the timely collection of all accounts receivable. • Manages relationships with internal trades and third party vendors and / or subcontractors. • Resolves any and all conflicts that may arise on the project.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
able to walk quickly to/from job locations up to 600 yards in distance are required
The ability maneuver in a variety of spaces on board vessels, and lift up to 50 lbs. is required
Required Experience
• 7+ years in project management of complex projects
• Marine and shipyard experience, involving complex problem solving with client’s technical and structural challenges
• Technical engineering management experience with refits or new builds on luxury recreational vessels preferred
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
• High school or GED required
• Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Business with appropriate technical engineering experience (qualifying experience if education is not at the undergraduate level)
• Project Management Methodologies Training or Certification preferred
