Position Overview
The Business Administrator will be a vital part of maintaining and driving the financial stability of Landscapes Unlimited. This position manages key accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Vendor Compliance, Supplier Audits, and month-end financial reporting. Success in this role requires not only a sharp eye for detail but also the ability to move swiftly, ensuring financial processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with growth goals. The ideal candidate will work closely with the CFO to streamline operations and maintain financial integrity, helping drive our business forward.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable: Ensure timely invoicing and payments, maintaining strong financial controls.
Vendor Compliance: Oversee vendor contracts, ensuring adherence to agreements and operational compliance.
Supplier Audits: Conduct thorough supplier audits to verify performance, pricing, and contract obligations.
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and precise financial reporting.
Financial Reporting: Prepare detailed financial statements in accordance with GAAP, delivering insights on company performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the CFO to create annual budgets and financial forecasts, tracking performance and identifying trends.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
Process Improvements: Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial procedures.
Leadership: Mentor and guide the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and meticulousness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with 1-3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the landscape or construction industry is a plus.
