    About the Role:

    Our Client, a trusted provider in the distribution and building materials sector, is seeking 2 skilled Branch Managers for their Bellmawr, NJ and Auburn, MA locations. This critical role oversees branch operations, drives sales, manages staff, and ensures a safe, efficient, and customer-centered environment. As Branch Manager, you will actively implement strategies to enhance productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Market Growth: Maintain and expand market share by fostering strong relationships with both new and existing customers, and continuously identifying growth opportunities within product lines.
    • Financial Management: Oversee branch budgets, manage annual forecasts, and monitor profitability. Collaborate with Regional/Area Managers to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and improve operational efficiencies.
    • Customer Relationship Building: Develop and sustain key account relationships by identifying customer needs and providing tailored solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and develop branch staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and high performance. Lead by example in setting expectations and goals.
    • Pricing & Vendor Strategy: Create pricing, promotion, and distribution strategies to increase sales and margins. Strengthen vendor relationships to support business goals, working closely with the Regional President to align with vendor strategy.
    • Inventory & Receivables Management: Ensure tight control over inventory and purchasing to optimize turnover. Support corporate collections efforts to reduce receivables days sales outstanding (DSO) and enhance branch financial health.
    • Operational Excellence: Manage all aspects of product and service issues, purchasing, pricing, scheduling, facility and truck maintenance, and general branch operations. Ensure smooth daily operations and high standards of service.
    • Safety & Compliance: Establish and uphold safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all applicable government safety regulations.
    • Warehouse Operations Improvement: Collaborate with the finance team to develop business cases for warehouse investments that drive operational improvement and efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required; bachelor’s degree is a plus. Previous managerial experience in branch operations, distribution, or a related industry, with a focus on the building or construction sector, is preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology for operational efficiency.
    • Leadership & Teamwork: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage, motivate, and develop team members.
    • Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with solid negotiation abilities to manage customer and vendor relationships effectively.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial reports, analyze business performance, and make data-driven decisions to improve profitability.
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift items up to 30 lbs, as well as navigate warehouse and office environments.
